Stage 2 started at UCI headquarters in Aigle, and headed to the circuit, which was to consist of 14 laps of 5.4k then to a mountain top finish, 19.7k to the top.

Race rolled out and by lap 3 on the circuit 4 riders had broken away with a 1:40 lead, and held it, with 4 PNW riders in the peloton all was going to plan, Ben moved to the front to start upping the tempo. Then word came of a crash when the race was neutralized the completely stopped 200 m from where PNW support was stationed for feeds.

Graham ran up to get a update and spoke with Ben and Aaron and Adam wasn’t there. Ben thought about 20 riders went down just behind him. Hoping for the best, John was able to ride to Adam and get him a spare bike. Adam got patched up by PNW Support and the race started to roll to the circuit start. After a total of 45 mins, the race resumed resulting in eliminating 3 circuit laps totalling of 11 instead of 14.

The sun was high, it was hot, no shade except for what the corn fields provided and the climb proved to be a challenge! Aaron rode an epic climb finishing 14th, with Ben and Adam riding in together 34 and 37 and Oscar pushing hard up that final climb!

Third and final stage of Tour DuLeman and the last day of racing on our Euro Project! Day was quite a change from Saturday’s heat, the morning was cloudy and a cool 16c made for great racing conditions.   We travelled north of Geneva, to the forest roads and rode three 21k laps then headed to Col de la Faucille.

By the third lap, a group of 10broke away with Adam in the group, which held 1:15-1:25 until the final climb when the peloton started to splinter.  The final sprint was through a very narrow path at the top of the climb and Adam clinched 5th on the stage! Ben rode in with the third group, 4 mins down at 28th and Aaron cracked on that final climb making it in in 52nd.  Oscar assisted in the caravan car after not making time cut on Stage 2 and Graham assisted in Feed! All three riders were in and safe!

A big thank you to the French and Swiss organizers and volunteers! The Tour Du Leman was an incredible three days of racing. The organization, athlete accommodations, meals, and race support were outstanding, complemented by high-caliber competition from teams across France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy.
